Advisee Spotlight: Faith Orisakwe

How Advisees choose to use CareerSpring’s resources can look a number of different ways–depending on their goals, career path, and interests. Since our founding, we’ve been intentional about the resources we offer the FGLI students and graduates we serve, understanding the diverse paths they’re on and ensuring our resources reflect that diversity. Faith Orisakwe, a Public Health and Business major from the University of Rochester learned about CareerSpring through our Education Partner, EMERGE, is an Advisee who understands this, reflecting that there are “countless opportunities available to enhance your career development.”

As a first-generation student with career goals focusing in the business sector, Faith wanted to feel prepared for any opportunity that may come her way. With this in mind, she scheduled a Consultation with a Candidate Coach. Faith shared,

“My experience with my Candidate Coach, Susan Madden, was incredibly positive. She helped me with interview preparation and provided invaluable advice on how to effectively share my story with recruiters and interviewers. Susan’s supportive and insightful guidance boosted my confidence and encouraged me to reflect on areas for growth as a young professional!”

CareerSpring is here to help FGLI students, no matter where they are on their career journey and no matter what path they’ve chosen. With over 50 Candidate Coaches, 1,500+ Advisors, 500+ Career Videos, 30+ career development events annually, and over 140 Employer Partners in the CareerSpring Network–we’ve got something for everyone.
