Advisee Spotlight: Elaine Chen

There are countless ways someone might discover CareerSpring–through social media, word of mouth, events with Education Partners, or a classic Google search. For Advisee Elaine Chen, a Communications major at Baruch College, it was through a workshop hosted by her school’s Machine Learning and Data Science Club–an event that was student driven by CareerSpring Advisees.

Elaine shared,

“Truthfully, ever since I attended that event, an abundance of opportunity to learn and grow in my field has opened up for me. I have attended networking events, grown my network on LinkedIn through making connections, received 1-1 guidance from the extremely helpful and knowledgeable Candidate Coaches, and so much more.”

Her interests go beyond her major. Elaine is keen to take on a minor in technology, business, or new media studies, and her major has a concentration in graphic communication. Opportunity certainly awaits her in New York City, and CareerSpring’s Network is here to help guide her as she applies for internships.

As Elaine reflected on her experience with CareerSpring thus far, she shared that, “I would say that everyone needs to use CareerSpring. As college students, we sometimes find our goals to be intangible but CareerSpring has proven to me that my goals are achievable if you allow yourself to ask for help. We all have to start somewhere.”
