Celebrating First-Generation College Celebration Day

On November 8th, CareerSpring celebrated National First-Generation College Celebration Day with our Network of Partners across the nation. First-Generation College Celebration is an annual opportunity to raise awareness of the first-generation college student identity by advancing an asset-based, national narrative of these students’ experiences and outcomes. Every year on November 8, we encourage our Network—colleges, universities, corporations, community organizations, volunteers, and students at all levels—to celebrate the success of first-generation college students, faculty, staff, and alumni in every possible way.

This annual celebration marks an important milestone for the students and graduates we serve in the CareerSpring Network, recognizing the determination it takes to be the first in their family to attend college. We were thrilled to see so many of our Partners–both Employer Partners and Education Partners–getting involved this year to celebrate the first-gen students in the CareerSpring Network.

We are grateful to all of our Partners that invited us to attend their events, giving us the opportunity to celebrate their first-generation students on campus. Click here If you are interested in learning more about becoming an Education Partner in the CareerSpring Network.
